echoing from the bottom of the earth,
PAINTING CURSED WORDS IN YOUR LITTLE GARDEN!

NAME,castor caelius cahill
AGE,twenty-one
GENDER,male
SEXUALITY,hetrosexual
OCCUPATION,library assistant
REASON WHY,Castor's generally a nice guy, there's no doubt about that. But there's something fundamentally wrong with the way his brain was but together. Fired from more jobs than he can count, banned from many more... even moving countries didn't help much.
For Castor, this is his lucky break. He gets to be around what he loves (namely, lots of books) and no-one questions why exactly he couldn't previously keep a job for more than a few months.

POSITIVE TRAITS,
- somewhat modest
- a good listener.... if he likes you, that is.
- pretty cheerful, most of the time
- always willing to help (again, only if he likes you)
- hardly ever gets angry, unless it's an issue that is deeply personal (and they are few and far between)
STRENGTHS,
- cutting.... things
- a great memory
- throwing things that totally aren't knives
- has an "ear for music"; considers himself well learned in the ways of rhythm and pacing
NEGATIVE TRAITS,
- he doesn't like you? don't expect anything
- he probably won't even acknowledge your existence
- those times when he's not modest, his ego could probably destroy worlds
- he likes knives, probably far too much than is healthy
- he can be really, really lazy
- tends to get intolerable and moody around his birthday
WEAKNESSES,
- dealing with any mention of family
- seeing young children who are happy; his imagination runs away with him
- being teased/put down; he can't deal with criticism
- prolonged physical activity; he only has so much energy
- writing of any kind; he can only appreciate, not create
ADORE,
- his brother
- poetry, the classics; anything with over-done, flowery writing
- books bound in leather; beautiful, smooth, classy leather
- cats are pretty awesome; it's like they've got their own built-in switchblades
- sweet foods and fruit, and anything with sugar in it, especially tea
- things from the past; idealised past-lives and ancient societies
- traveling
- antiques
- knives, things that cut, shiny, sharp, the thrill of metal into flesh...
CONDEMN,
- he really, really hates tomatoes
- when it comes to sex and the like, castor is a bit of a prude; he doesn't hate it, as such, but would rather not be involved with much
- modern literature
- blunt knives
- people who are too loud, or full of themselves
- people who criticize him, and insult the classics
- siblings who look too much alike
- guns, and anything vaguely in the shape of a noose
- sleeping pills, sleeping aids of any kind
- he dislikes men, which is kind of a problem considering he's one
- greek and roman mythologies involving a certain set of twins... it hurts too much to read that name, even though it's been twelve years
FEARS,
- spiders
- that a certain person will follow him from Australia
- that he will forget what his brother was like
- although he tries to act brave, ghost stories (that could be considered 'true') and anything relating to horror (outside flamboyant gothicism) really freaks him out
DREAMS & GOALS,
- to stay employed for as long as possible
- to escape his past; it seems like a clichèd ideal, but it's one he strives for
- to meet a 'real' author; not the half-washed types you get these days though, more the ones who lived in a time of social change and innovation
HOBBIES,
- randomly adding lines from gothic/romantic poetry in to every day conversation
- abusing his accent; that is, over-emphasising and using far too much slang (it's a hobby, ok?)
- reading books with more dust clinging to the pages than words
- listening to as much music as he can get his hands on
- cutting... cutting... shiny, sharp...
HABITS,
- humming/reciting poetry to himself
- using anything that moves as target practice
- tapping something; his foot, a pen, the desk, whatever happens to be nearby, whilst reading
- sometimes (rather, all too often) he will forget Pol is dead... and refer to his brother in conversation
- most of the time he talks in questions? (it's an Aussie thing)
- he tends to arrange and re-arrange things almost obsessively
PERSONAL ITEMS,
- an old and battered copy of Edgar Allen Poe's poetry, the name in the front of which has been heavily crossed out
- his knives; knives of all shapes and sizes, all brilliantly sparkling and deadly sharp
